Urgent Needs

In development work, there will always be immediate needs to accompany the sustainable projects implemented. As we plant pineapple gardens, the women and children still need food on their table. Because our goal is to create enough sustainability for the ROWAN members to support themselves in a few years to come, there are areas where ROWAN can fill the gap.
As urgent needs arise, both the Uganda and USA Board members together vote on how to best utilize these funds. In the end, the Uganda board knows best and leads the way.
What are some examples as to how ROWAN used the funds for Urgent Needs in the past?

How do we plan on using it in the future?
- Continue the well-digging project
- Plan on a weekly/monthly food program for the members
- Continue improving the homes of the members to ensure security
- Emergency medical needs outside the regular check-ups
